Web Design Introduction

About the instructor

David Husom is the instructor for the course, UC3201 Web Design Introduction. Husom originally created the course in 1998 as part of the Web Designer Institute in the Information Technology professional program in web design, server side web development and web programing in the College of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota. The course combined Adobe Photoshop with HTML coding. In 2006 it was converted to a credit program for undergrad and graduate students in University College.

Husom has used Photoshop since it became an Adobe product in 1990. He designed his first website in 1997 using Adobe Pagemill and BBEdit, forerunners of Adobe Dreamweaver. From 2012 to 2014 he was an Office of Information Technology Fellow at the U of MN.
